Description:
20-year-old female who presented to discuss options for breast reduction. She was accompanied by her mother; her aunt also had underwent breast reduction by me over 12 years ago. She was referred to my office both by her aunt, as well as her primary care physician. She pointed out that she has struggled with large breasts for several years. She currently wears a 34DDD bra, and often has to wear two bras at a time. Height is 5’5″. Weight is 157 pounds. She is unable to find normal bras that fit correctly, and they often cut into her shoulders. She complains of back, shoulder, breast, and neck pain, and takes Ibuprofen regularly. She is hoping that a breast reduction will help with the weight of her breasts, as well as lift them into a perkier position. She had a bilateral breast reduction with a total of 500 gm removed from the left breast, and 560 gm removed from the right; with nipple position corrected as well (see images). The procedure was performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Results shown at 3 months.
