Description:
41-year-old female who is here today for consultation to discuss options for a mommy makeover. She has 3 children, and all were breast fed. She underwent a hysterectomy in 10 years ago, but in the process of recovering from surgery, she gained about 70 pounds. Starting about 2 years ago, she started a program which involved healthy eating and exercising. So far, she has lost 65 pounds and plans to lose about 10-20 more. Her main concern is her abdomen. She feels like the abdominal surgeries have left her with asymmetry in the abdomen, and a large fold over the horizontal scar. She states she knows she is not at her goal weight, but she is hoping something can be done to make the abdomen smoother, tighter, and flatter. She feels like she has poor muscle tone and strength in the abdomen, and is wondering if this is also addressed in a tummy tuck. An abdominoplasty with rectus repair was performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Results are shown at 6 months.
