Description:
A pleasant 57-year-old who consulted with us to discuss options for breast augmentation revision and contouring of the lower abdomen. She is single and is retired. She states she underwent bilateral subpectoral breast augmentation with another surgeon 20 years earlier, with 250cc saline implants that are “surrounded by silicone.” She states she was told that the implants could not be any larger because of “lack of skin,” by the other surgeon. She has not had any issues with her breasts, but she would like some changes to be made. She would like her breasts to be larger, as much as two cup sizes, so that she no longer needs to wear padded bras. She is hoping that the implants could be placed closer together in order to give her cleavage without the help of a bra. She would like her breasts to look natural and proportional to her body, and does not want to go too large. Height is 5’4″. Weight is 120 pounds. To address her concerns, we took her to our surgical facility and performed: Bilateral explanation, capsular expansion, and replacement with larger (550cc) silicone gel implants. Results are shown at 3 months.
