Description:
28 year old here today for consultation after massive weight loss. She had a Lap-Band procedure done in 2012. Since then she has lost 130 pounds. She lost the weight very rapidly, and for the past year her weight has been very stable, only fluctuating by 10 pounds. She exercises very regularly, and states her excess skin gets in the way of her exercise. She states she has a lot of muscle, but it is hidden under her excess skin. Regarding her breasts, she was diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age, and had to wear a back brace for a long time. She states since wearing the brace when her breasts were developing, she thinks it caused her breasts to be droopy. Since her weight loss, the ptosis was made even worse. She would like her breasts lifted “back up where they belong.” Height is 5’ 5″. Weight is 200 pounds. Even though her primary goal was additional breast volume, because she had significant breast droop (ptosis), we explained that breast implants needed to wait until the ptosis was corrected with a breast lift. Once healed (typically 2-3 months later) if she still desired more breast volume, we could add implants without adding new scars (using the breast lift scars). She agreed to this staged approach, and proceeded with a mastopexy (breast lift). After she had healed from the breast lift, she returned to our in-office facility for breast implant placement. Results are shown here 3 months AFTER the breast implants were placed in her second procedure (500 cc, over the muscle placement)
