Surgery after Weight Loss Patient 001

34-year-old female who was referred here by her friend, who is also a patient of mine. This young lady had a gastric bypass 6 years ago, and since then has lost approximately 150 pounds. Her weight been stable for the past 3 1/2 years. She has two biological children. Her area of concern is excess skin present her abdomen. She’s interested in an abdominoplasty or any other options for removing the excess skin. She reports frequent skin irritation and breakdown at that area. She has had to wear a bodysuit every day for the past two years and states “if I don’t, I look ridiculous in clothes.” An abdominoplasty with rectus repair was performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Results are shown at 6 months.
