Description:
56-year-old female who presented to discuss surgical and non-surgical options to improve the appearance of her abdomen. After a recent surgery, she had about a year off of work: during that time, she devoted herself to diet and exercise. She lost 25lbs and dropped 4 dress sizes. She has three children, and notes her three deliveries were normal and uncomplicated. After her third child, she was told she was a good candidate for a tummy tuck. Despite her recent work with diet and exercise, she is not happy with her abdomen at this point. Her goal is to feel confident wearing a 2-piece swim suit. She was referred to me by a former patient who had had a tummy tuck here. Height is 5’6″. Weight is 145 pounds. An abdominoplasty with rectus repair was performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Results are shown at 6 months. The underwear demonstrates the goal of having the scar hidden by bikini or undergarments, although sometimes this is not entirely possible.
