Description:
57 year old had a ruptured appendix in 1996, and had an open wound with a drain in place. This left her with a very wide scar below the umbilicus. She underwent a total hysterectomy in 2004, and part of the scar was revised, but she is still not pleased with how the scars looks like a “second belly button.” She also has some excess fat surrounding the scar and umbilicus, and is wondering if this can be flattened as well as smoothed out. Height is 5’4″. Weight is 120 pounds. To correct this issue, the entire area of depressed scar and excess fatty tissue was resected in a modified tummy-tuck. The procedure was performed in-office in our fully accredited (AAAASF) facility under light sedation and local anesthesia. Results shown at 3 months.
